Veillette Paris (Mark IV) Acoustic/Electric Bass

The Paris acoustic-electric bass neatly bridges the gap between the conventional electric bass and the classic acoustic upright. Visually, tonally, and ergonomically, the Paris combines the best elements of both instruments, resulting in a bass that can fill the roles of both, as well as creating new and unique sounds.

The Paris features the same gracefully curved top as our Centaur and Singlecut basses, which thins the edges of the body for greater comfort and reduced weight. The wooden bridge keeps the undersaddle piezo pickup in direct contact with wood at all times, which maximizes the natural 'acoustic' response of these basses. The unique 'dovetail' bridge/tailpiece also couples directly with the body wood, taking full advantage of its inherent sound.

Available in both 21-fret and 24-fret models, and with 4, 5 ,6 and 7 strings.

Veillette ArchTop Bass

The thick, gracefully carved solid Spruce top, large body chamber, and soundhole maximize the tone, look and feel of these elegant instruments, which are beautifully suited to jazz players, acoustic music, and intimate ensemble playing.

A 24-fret neck and deep treble-side cutaway give the player full access to two-octaves of range, and the rugged construction and stability of all our instruments makes for worry-free travel and gigging, without sacrificing the rich tone and vibe of a truly high-class instrument.

Veillette Centaur Bass Guitar

Citron pickups (other brands available by request) are standard on the Centaur, and their unique, aggressive midrange sound, tight lows, and balanced high end contribute to the Centaur's tremendous 'cut' and presence. The Centaur's flexible electronics combine an active 2-band EQ with easy-access battery compartment, which allows the player to change a battery without tools, literally in seconds.

The Centaur also features a 'radiused' top - the entire front surface of the bass is curved, naturally guiding the arm into a comfortable playing position (no sharp corner), and concentrating the mass of the instrument in the center of the body. This gives the feeling and comfort of a thinner body, while preserving the punch and sustain of a full-thickness instrument.
