Direct Coupling Neck Construction

· Super Tight Neck Fit
· No Wood Screws
· No Glue

Direct Coupling Neck Construction adds sustain and overtones to any style of guitar. The pictures to the left show cutaways of the directly coupled neck of an Ed Roman guitar.

We utilize threaded Brass Anchors and Allen Bolts for the neck joint rather than wood screws or glue. The brass anchors add mass to the neck and allow the neck to be pulled tightly into the bodies' neck pocket. This enables maximum wood to wood contact and optimum tone transference.

This type of neck construction is more expensive than screwing the neck to the body with wood screws, but we feel that the extra costs in time and materials is more than warranted in the resulting tones produced by our guitars.
